California's Tom Schaar was the ultimate stand out today at the Vans Pro Park, on the sands of Huntington Beach. The skater dropped the only run score above 90 points of the entire event, and secured his second event win of the season.
This event was also marked by the rise of the "young bucks", like CJ Collins and Keegan Palmer, who skated very strong and finished in 3rd and 4th place respectively. The boys proved that they are here to stay and can hang well in the big leagues. We expect to see a lot more from those two in the next coming years.
The second place went to VPS Select Pro Ben Hatchell, who is back in competition after being off the Tour for a few events.

Event wildcard Jagger Eaton also surprised everybody in the stands by winning the Semi-Finals with a great run score of 88.13. The skater from Mesa, Arizona could not bring the same game to the Finals, where he finished in 8th place.
Now, the stage is set for the big World Championships in Shanghai, China on September 23rd, where we expect to see the ultimate showdown.
