Griffin Colapinto Goes Next Level

His rise from amateur prodigy to QS warrior to California's Championship Tour heir apparent has been well documented. But if seeing is believing, witnessing Griffin Colapinto's competitive act in person converts naysayers. Compared to many of his peers, his turns have more grunt and his airs have more pop. This may sound like high praise, but his aerial game is Dane Reynoldsian. Or Reynoldesque. Whatever the correct terminology happens to be in this case, the kid (yes, he's still a teenager) is for real. He put on an absolute clinic in Round Two against a pair of seasoned CT-level surfers and a wily QS campaigner with much more experience, spinning gold out of south side Huntington straw. The future is here now. Believe it.
